November Book Title Change.

Please note that our November book title has changed from The Gambler by Christine Dwyer Hickey to Disguise by Hugo Hamilton. Anyone looking for copies of the book can purchase it here: http://www.amazon.com/Disguise-Hugo-Hamilton/dp/0007192169.

Hello Book Clubbers,

We'd love to get your thoughts on our new location at Teaism - feel free to post your opinion here!

Our book for October will be Glover's Mistake by Nick Laird. Nick will be one of the writers attending our DC Irish Writers Festival in March. The meeting will be held on Monday, 12th October at 7pm. The meeting location is Teaism Penn Quarter, 400 8th Street NW. The metro stop is Archives/Navy Memorial.

September Book Title and New Meeting Location

Hello book clubbers,

September officially launches the season five reading list. The book for September is The Thief of Time by John Boyne. Boyne will be one of the writers participating in our DC Irish Writers Festival in March 2010.

August Book Club Title is BIG FAT LOVE



The next book club meeting will be held on Monday, 10th August at 7pm in James Hobans, 1 Dupont Circle.

The book this month is BIG FAT LOVE by Peter Sheridan, alternately known as EVERY INCH OF HER.

Eamon Grennan at the Folger Library

EAMON GRENNAN will read from his own works and the works of other poets who have had substantial influence on his writing at the annual Folger Poetry Board Reading on Monday, May 18, at 7:30pm at the Folger Shakespeare Library. According to The New Yorker, Grennan writes poetry which "illuminates, clarifies, and directs our gaze toward what it is we love."
